At the end of the day, the Dossier itself is as much a destination as the city itself. The 205-room property is a solid representative of the Westin brand, located in Downtown Portland and offering a decent gym and a classy (but overpriced). Located just off the lobby, Opal takes a stand against lousy hotel restaurants by offering fresh, locally sourced food in an elegant black-and-white marble tiled space with walnut wood accents. You might find yourself trying to figure out how to steal the Simmons Beautyrest Black Napa mattresses, or the Italian linen sheets, or the plush bathrobes. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? Each room contains an honor bar with fantastically local Portland snacks and spirits, as well as LATHER bath amenities and packets of Knot Springs's signature bath scrubs. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. The Loft Suites have especially spacious layouts and plenty of natural lighting. ![]() How was check in?The service is distinct Oregonian-efficient and quick without sacrificing warmth. What’s the crowd like? For all the painfully cool creative types passing through Portland, all roads lead to Dossier. The lobby has a distinct Midcentury-meets-Deco vibe that perfectly encapsulates the city's refined hipster aesthetic. How did it strike you on arrival?
